Visual Combination Lock The program reads a sequence of hand gestures as a input for password combination.

Columbia Campus Navigator The program reads the Columbia Campus map and describes shapes of all buildings and positional relations of one building to another. Then the program takes the user input (mouse click) of the source and target locations and generates a pixel cloud of all pixels with the same positional description for each point - source and target. The program finally generates a path from the source to target and asks the user to follow the given path with positional and shape descriptions of buildings to evaluate the accuracy of path description.

Swimming Pool Maya Project

Peer-to-Peer Chat via UDP This program provides client to client chatting via UDP protocol.
The server only keeps the list of clients and offline messages. A client talks to another client directly from one port to another. Both the server and client implement two sockets, one regular quote to quote socket and one multicast socket. The regular socket is used for communication with clients such as for registration, de-registration, or saving or loading offline messages.
The multicast socket is used for broadcasting the updated client table to all available clients. Each client receives the table of clients immediately after it has been updated in the server. The client implements multithreads (sender and receiver) in order to simultaneously send and receive packets. The acknowledgments are sent from the receiver thread.

Visual Information Retrieval The program analyzes 40 given images to determine the similarities in color and texture for image identification.

Band-aid with Ointment Maya project - A redesign of Band-Aid for convenience.
The ointment is attached to the body of a "push-roll-cut" Band-Aid.
The main body works like a white-out.

Information Box and Answer Machine The program generates an information box with data retrieved from the web.
The program also provides answers for a given query in a specific format.
